The Opportunity
The San Isidro Cook-Off is an annual BBQ competition where teams compete for buckles, medals, and champion trophies—all to raise critical funds for the local church’s community programs. But the event lacked a cohesive visual identity and promotional engine. To grow participation, attendance, and donations, it needed a refreshed brand and compelling content that captured the heat, heart, and hometown pride of the cook-off.
My Approach
- Logo & Brand Refresh: Redesigned the event logo to be bold, energetic, and competition-worthy—blending BBQ grit with community spirit.
- Print & Signage: Created flyers, vendor banners, entry signage, and on-site branding using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite for maximum local visibility.
- Drone & Video Production: Captured sweeping aerial shots of grills smoking and crowds gathering, then edited a high-energy recap video in Premiere Pro to showcase the event’s scale and joy.
- Social Promotion: Shared behind-the-scenes clips, competitor spotlights, and event highlights across social channels to build hype and drive next-year registrations.
